The Face of Urban Handyman
My experience starts from a very early age. Born and raised in the countryside of Northern California, there was no break from the work that had to be done. I was raised in a ranching family and had weekend jobs repairing, installing and everything in-between to the ranch houses and property. Along with ranch work, I was also tasked to help my father repair and install odd things around my family home. These skills translated well to my professional work life.
I started working professionally at a young age as well, with my first construction job at the age of 16. I learned the trade through an experienced carpenter and would assist on large and small household jobs. I soon after worked as a ranch hand in the central coast, expanding on my wide variety of handyman skills. While working a full time job, I also started doing Handyman jobs around the central coast. This grew into a full time business that I continued to pursue for the next few years. I earned an excellent reputation in the community and excelled in my field.
After moving back to my home town in 2020, I started working full time as a maintenance technician for 24 Hour Fitness. It was an old building and I brought it back to life with plumbing, electrical, and aesthetic repairs. This job helped grow my experience and knowledge even further.
Last year I moved to Denver, Colorado and took on handyman jobs for Dehn of Urban Handyman. Due to Dehn's new business (Sunnyside Home Inspection) taking off, I slowly started assuming full responsibility of Urban Handyman. I am now the proud owner of Urban Handyman and look forward to serving the Denver area for years to come! Patrick installed a vent hood over our stove. As we didn't have a vent this included installing all the venting. After getting information on the project and a few photos of the installation site he sent a very reasonable quote. On the day he came to do the installation we realized that I had missed the fact that we have solar panels over the part of the roof where he would need to install the vent. Patrick very quickly adapted to routing the vent out through the wall, including getting the new supplies this would require. He was very pleasant to work with and we'll definitely reach out to him for any projects we need help with in the future
